WHO IS PATRIC STARR?

 

I am an Interactive Media Designer with 15 years in the software industry. Most of my focus has been on video games, but I have had the unique experience to create some table top games as well. I am an avid gamer, and will play anything at least once. I love the science and psychology behind making choices. Game Theory, Usability, Anthropology, Geography are all areas of research I engage myself in, in order to create the best experience I can for people.

 

My passion is ultimately the experience a user has when engaged in my team’s projects. I always stay focused on the end user, design for them, advocate for them during development, and completely feel that if an end user is going to trust my work with their time and hard earned money, then it is my responsibility to deliver the best product I can.

 

This blog is all about my love of Design. My love of the Experience. My passion for telling stories (the entertainment story, but more specifically-the story of development and the story of a user engaging the products I’ve worked on). Most of all, this blog is about how we can be better designers and engage people on levels previously untouched. For me, Interactive Media is the true “last frontier.”
